About Michael A. Hackard
Michael A. Hackard has practiced law for 36 years. His practice has included Business Law, Estate Planning, Estates and Trusts Litigation, Bankruptcy Litigation and representation of clients before federal, state and local legislative and administrative bodies. His appearances include testimony before the United States House Ways & Means Committee on behalf of a national commercial real estate organization as well as an important Food and Drug Administration Committee addressing the withdrawal of a dangerous drug.
A native of Sacramento, CA, Mr. Hackard has litigated in state and federal trial and appellate courts. His media experiences include national television interviews (C-SPAN, Fox News – Neil Cavuto), regular regional television interviews and both national (The Wall Street Journal) and local newspaper stories.
Mr. Hackard currently represents a significant number of wealthy families with extensive business and real estate interests. He also represents a variety of clients in both prosecuting and defending claims associated with large-scale common issues of fact and law. The effectiveness of his practice is rooted in professional excellence, an ethic of service and strategic vision.
As a graduate of the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, Mr. Hackard remains committed to the study of law and its applications in business. He considers education a lifelong process and has attended executive-level programs at Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and Northwest University’s Kellogg School of Management.
